Your GDPR Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have several rights regarding your personal data. This page explains how to exercise these rights with SafeGig.
Right of Access
You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
How to exercise:
- Log in to your account and go to Settings > Export My Data
- Or email us at support@safegig.com with the subject "Data Access Request"
We will provide your data within 30 days of your request.
Right to Rectification
You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
How to exercise:
- Edit your profile directly in your account settings
- Or contact us at support@safegig.com to request corrections
We will update your data promptly upon verification.
Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten")
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances.
How to exercise:
- Go to Settings > Delete Account in your account
- Or email us at support@safegig.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request"
Note: Some data may be retained for legal obligations (e.g., DAC7 reporting, tax records) for up to 7 years as required by law.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
How to exercise:
- Use the Export My Data feature in Settings
- Your data will be provided in JSON format
- You can transfer this data to another service provider
This right applies to data you provided to us and data processed based on your consent or contract.
Right to Object
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data based on legitimate interests.
How to exercise:
- Email us at support@safegig.com with the subject "Objection to Processing"
- Specify which processing activities you object to
We will stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
Right to Restriction of Processing
You have the right to request restriction of processing in certain circumstances, such as when you contest the accuracy of data.
How to exercise:
- Email us at support@safegig.com with the subject "Restriction Request"
- Explain the circumstances and which data should be restricted
Right to Withdraw Consent
If processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
How to exercise:
- Update your preferences in Settings
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Response Times
We will respond to your GDPR requests within 30 days. For complex requests, we may extend this by up to 2 months, and we will inform you of any delay.
Verification
To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. This helps ensure that personal data is not disclosed to unauthorized parties.
Fees
Exercising your GDPR rights is free of charge. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if requests are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive.
