1. Introduction
Welcome to SafeGig (operated by Samurai Tech Ltd, trading as "Got Any Work"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our platform that connects casual workers with employers. By using SafeGig, you agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions
- "Worker" or "Gigger": An individual registered on the platform to find casual work opportunities.
- "Employer": An individual, business, charity, or organization posting job opportunities on the platform.
- "Match": When both a Worker and Employer express mutual interest in a job opportunity.
- "Platform" or "Service": The SafeGig website, mobile application, and related services.
- "We", "Us", "Our": Refers to Samurai Tech Ltd and SafeGig.
3. Eligibility
To use SafeGig, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old (some jobs may require 18+ or 21+ due to licensing requirements)
- Have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
- Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile
- Not have been previously banned or suspended from the platform
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Platform Role
SafeGig is a technology platform that facilitates connections between Workers and Employers. Important:
- We are NOT an employment agency or employment business
- We are NOT a party to any employment or service contract between Workers and Employers
- We are NOT the employer of Workers
- We do not guarantee work opportunities or worker availability
- All agreements, payments, and working arrangements are between Workers and Employers directly
5. Worker Obligations
As a Worker, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your skills, experience, and availability
- Honor commitments made to Employers (attend shifts, complete work as agreed)
- Report all earnings to HMRC and comply with tax obligations
- Consent to DAC7 reporting requirements (for earnings over £2,000 per year)
- Provide original Right to Work documents to Employers when requested
- Maintain professional conduct and treat Employers with respect
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Notify us immediately of any security breaches or unauthorized access
6. Employer Obligations
As an Employer, you agree to:
- Post accurate and complete job descriptions
- Pay Workers at least the agreed rate, which must meet or exceed the National Minimum Wage (NMW)
- Hold appropriate Employer's Liability Insurance (legal requirement for most businesses)
- Not discriminate against Workers based on protected characteristics
- Conduct Right to Work checks in accordance with UK law before employment commences
- Retain copies of Right to Work documents as legally required
- Pay Workers promptly and in accordance with agreed terms
- Provide a safe working environment
- Not use the platform for illegal activities or to post inappropriate content
7. Right to Work Verification
SafeGig provides a Right to Work verification assistance service whereby Workers may upload documents for preliminary verification. However, this does not replace the Employer's legal obligation to conduct their own Right to Work checks before employment commences.
SafeGig is not responsible for storing or retaining copies of Right to Work documentation on behalf of Employers. The legal responsibility for verifying and retaining Right to Work evidence remains solely with the Employer.
Employers must comply with all UK immigration and employment law requirements regarding Right to Work checks.
8. Fees and Payments
- Workers: Registration and job applications are free
- Employers: Job postings are free. Optional SMS alerts cost £5 per job
- All payments between Workers and Employers are made directly between the parties
- SafeGig is not involved in payment processing between Workers and Employers
- We reserve the right to introduce fees with 30 days' notice
9. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Engage in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities
- Provide false or misleading information
- Fail to pay fees owed to SafeGig
- Abuse or harass other users
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Some information may be retained for legal and regulatory purposes.
10. Limitation of Liability
SafeGig provides the platform "as is" and does not guarantee:
- The availability of work opportunities
- The quality, safety, or legality of jobs posted
- The reliability or suitability of Workers or Employers
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeGig shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the SafeGig platform, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of Samurai Tech Ltd and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
